Secrecy surrounds the launch this autumn of the latest version of Abazander’s sales
and marketing tool, iSAM. iSAM 007 will be launched at a special, invitation-only event being held near Exeter on September 16. “It’s all a bit hush-hush at the moment,” said a spokesperson, “but we hope to be able to reveal more details towards the end of the month.”

A solar-powered bin that increases collection capacity and yet reduces the cost of emptying is now available from OTTO UK. It will be exhibited at Futuresource in London. OTTO UK managing director Derek Monk explains that the product has a growing reputation: “The BB3 solar powered compaction bin is a relatively new introduction to the UK market. It’s been trialled by councils and the results and feedback have been good.”
